2024 NBA playoffs bracket, schedule, scores, results: Celtics go up 2-0 against Pacers in East finals (2024)

The conference finals are underway in the 2024 NBA playoffs, and the Boston Celtics are now two wins away from the NBA Finals. Boston is up 2-0 in the Eastern Conference finals against the Indiana Pacers after winning Game 2 on Thursday night. Jaylen Brown scored 40 points in the Game 2 win. The Pacers, meanwhile, saw Tyrese Haliburton leave early with an injury.

In the West, the Dallas Mavericks have a 1-0 series lead against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Mavs got a combined 63 points from Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in the Game 1 win, and the Wolves will try to bounce back on Friday at home in Game 2.

Regardless of which of the four remaining teams wins the 2024 title, the NBA will have its sixth different champion in six years -- something that has not happened since 1975-1980.

The postseason field started with 20 teams, and now we're down to four. The Warriors, Kings, Hawks and Bulls were ousted in the Play-In Tournament before the Pelicans, Suns, Clippers, Lakers, Heat, 76ers, Bucks and Magic were eliminated in the first round. The Cavs, Thunder, Knicks and Nuggets were sent home in the second round.
