By the numbers: Breaking down key figures, large and small, in Jaguars' stadium deal (2024)

The Jacksonville Jaguars' stadium agreement with the city is now signed, sealed and awaiting delivery to the NFL owners for approval this fall.

Here's a closer look inside the numbers for fans and Jacksonville residents to know about the new plan.

0: The number of home games in Jacksonville planned for the Jaguars' 2027 season, when the renovation of EverBank Stadium is expected to rule out the venue's use for the full year.

2: Florida cities — Gainesville and Orlando — mentioned by Jaguars president Mark Lamping as candidates to serve as a temporary home away from home in the 2027 season. Lamping said that the franchise has yet to negotiate a lease with either city.

5: Number of playoff games held to date at EverBank Stadium in the Jaguars' history.

NFL STATS CENTRAL: The latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, stats and more.

10: The number of months required to fully raise and install the roof on the Jaguars' Stadium of the Future, according to Lamping.

14-1: The yea-nay vote count in the City Council on Tuesday night (Ken Amaro, Will Lahnen, Joe Carlucci, Michael Boylan, Jimmy Peluso, Reggie Gaffney Jr., Tyrona Clark-Murray, Raul Arias, Randy White, Rahman Johnson, Ron Salem, Nick Howland, Matt Carlucci and Chris Miller in favor; Mike Gay in opposition). Two members abstained, citing potential conflicts of interest, and two others did not appear at the meeting.

19: Years since the only Super Bowl held in Jacksonville, Super Bowl XXXIX between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles on Feb. 6, 2005.

21: Assuming he starts every regular-season game during his now-extended contract, the number of times Trevor Lawrence is on course to start at EverBank Stadium before the venue reopens as the Stadium of the Future in 2028. As spelled out in the renovation agreement, the Jaguars would have the option of playing up to three total home games away from Jacksonville in the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

29: The age of EverBank Stadium — known in earlier years as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, Alltel Stadium, EverBank Field or TIAA Bank Field since its opening in the summer of 1995.

30: Duration of the Jaguars' new lease to remain in Jacksonville.

31: Years, to the exact day, separating the City Council vote to approve the stadium's reconstruction from the City Council's rejection of initial Gator Bowl renovation plans on June 25, 1993. At the time, the 1993 rejection left Touchdown Jacksonville! managing general partner Wayne Weaver saying the city's expansion push had "died," although the ownership group returned to the table later in summer.

74: Driving distance, in miles, from EverBank Stadium to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville. The Florida Gators' home field is among the venues considered for the Jaguars in 2027, when the stadium renovation timeline would force them away from home.

75: Percentage of yes votes required from NFL owners to formally approve the Jaguars' stadium deal when the league holds October meetings in Atlanta.

86: Number of fans, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, treated for heat-related conditions at the Jaguars' home opener on Sept. 16, 2018 (see below).

97: Temperature, in degrees, of the hottest home game in Jaguars history, against the New England Patriots on Sept. 16, 2018. The Jaguars intend to design the Stadium of the Future with a roof intended to mitigate midday heat for fans.

142: Driving distance, in miles, from EverBank Stadium to Camping World Stadium in Orlando. The former Citrus Bowl, much like the Gators' stadium, is also a possible home field for the Jaguars during 2027.

43,500: The planned capacity of EverBank Stadium for the 2026 season, when construction will be continuing.

63,000: The planned capacity of the Stadium of the Future for NFL games when it opens in 2028.

71,500: The planned expanded capacity of the Stadium of the Future beginning in 2028 for special events including the Florida-Georgia game, the Gator Bowl, concerts and international sporting events.

56 million: Amount, in dollars, of city money authorized Tuesday for a portion of the community benefits agreement. Included are downtown locations like Metropolitan Park, Shipyard West Park and Riverfront Plaza, site of the former Jacksonville Landing.

94 million: Amount, in dollars, of city money still awaiting approval as part of the community benefits agreement. This portion of the plan includes affordable housing and workforce development programs, parks across the entire city and concentrated neighborhood programs for Jacksonville's Eastside north of the sports complex.

121 million: Amount, in dollars, authorized by the Jacksonville City Council in 1993 toward the reconstruction of the old Gator Bowl into modern-day EverBank Stadium.

775 million: Amount, in dollars, authorized by the Jacksonville City Council on Tuesday toward the construction of the planned Stadium of the Future.

1.4 billion: Amount, in dollars, of the total estimated cost of the Stadium of the Future.
