The AAPL just wrapped their annual meeting in Boston where TCU Neeley professor Tom Seng presented on “The Technologies of Transition”. Professor Seng talked about the need for an “all-of-the-above” energy solutions approach and the current status of existing alternative energy sources like battery storage as well as research into more advanced batteries and small modular reactors.Professor Seng wears a lot of hats for the RLEI—teaching finance and energy business classes, helping guide the more than 80 Energy Business minors, and sharing his expertise with students, media and partners like the AAPL.#theRLEIpowersresearch #neeleypromise #leadontcuTom Seng, Ed.D. Congrats to the RLEI's Luke Fravel '24 as he embarks on his career at Hitachi Energy in their Power+ Graduate Program. We talk a lot at the Ralph Lowe Energy Institute about why choosing to #minorinsomethingmajor is a differentiator for TCU students pursuing careers in finance and engineering, environmental science and prelaw, communications, accounting, political science and so many more. Luke is the perfect example. He was a TCU Neeley School of Business student, majoring in finance with an energy business minor. He also was an integral part of so much of what we have accomplished at the institute over the last couple of years. He introduced Mary Ralph Lowe at the inaugural TCU Legends in Energy ceremony. He was president of the TCU Energy Club. He was an idea guy, a graphic designer, a leader and we just know he is going to excel at whatever comes next. Join us in congratulating Luke and read about his next step at Hitachi Energy: https://lnkd.in/gwPAePd7To learn more about the Energy Business minor through Neeley, come to the RLEI's Energy Club kickoff party on Aug. 26: https://lnkd.in/gn48JNtY#theRLEIpowersleaders #powerupyourminor #neeleypromise #leadontcuAnn Bluntzer, PhD Meredith O'Brien Jennifer Floyd Engel Tom Seng, Ed.D.
