L. Pollack Dies; Practiced Here for 41 Years Dr. Morris L. Pollack, 74, of 1198 Kensington a general practitioner here for 41 years, died today (Dec. 30, 1960) in Veterans Administration Hospital, where he was admitted Tuesday.

He was born in Russia and brought to New York City as child. He was graduated from Fordham University's School of Medicine in 1915. During World War I he served France as a first lieutenant in the Medical Corps. He came to Buffalo in 1919 after his Army service and began his practice in the Kensington section. announced today. Hearings will be held in January and February on objections filed during December. As of noon today, the board had received 520 formal and informal objections to the tentative assessment roll. Protests probably will be accepted Tuesday because the assessment office will be closed tomorrow. SPEAKEASY RAID NETS 2 ARRESTS The Police Liquor Squad raided a at 186 Walnut St. about Thursday night and home, arrested two residents on three different charges. Willie Buthe, 32, was charged with sales of illicit alcoholic beverages, and Robert H. Jones, also a roomer, was charged with possession of a policy book and a switchblade knife. Both men pleaded innocent in City Court today and were granted adjournments until Tuesday.

Judge James B. McKenna set Buthe's bail on the misdemeanor charge at $500 Jones' bail on the felony knife count at $1000. Lt. Kenneth P. Kennedy said his squad, aided by the Treasury Department's Alcohol Tobacco Tax Division, made the raid after an undercover agent bought a pint of moonshine for $2.50.
