Negative investing cash flow occurs when a company spends more cash on its investing activities than it receives from them. This means that the company is using its cash to buy or improve its fixed assets, such as buildings, machinery, or technology.
If net investment is negative this means that depreciation is greater than gross investment, or more capital wears out than is produced so we would have a "declining economy". If gross investment (all new capital that is produced) EQUALS depreciation (capital that wears out) then net investment will equal zero.
Negative return refers to a loss in the value of an investment or asset, which can be caused by various factors such as market downturns, poor investment choices, or economic factors.
A negative ROI means that you have incurred a loss on the investment over the period of time included in the calculation. Net Investment = ₹15,00,000 - ₹50,000 = ₹14,50,000.
The only difference between gross and net investment is the depreciation of capital assets that happens over a period of time. Gross investment consists of depreciation whereas net investment does not include depreciation. Hence, if depreciation is deducted from gross investment it can be equal to net investment.
