Happy Immersive Thursday to all!Patient’s Clinical Story 👈A 7-year-old girl diagnosed with craniosynostosis, a congenital defect where skull joints fuse prematurely, hindering brain development. Clinicians advocated surgical intervention using posterior vault distraction (PVR) for treatment. Procedure involves an incision on the skull top, skull piece removal, and a screw-secured medical device insertion to facilitate skull expansion. The device is removed post enough bone regrowth.Role of ImmersiveTouch in Surgical Planning 👈Surgeons utilized ImmersiveView 5.0 software, enabling a 5-minute surgical planning.
